The Lakota Sioux Tribe call Heyoka’s a scared clown, or trickster.

In Tibetan Buddism, a Heyoka is someone who has “CRAZY WISDOM’ or a person who has a crazy path to self discovery that is seen by many as crazy, abnormal, or irrational. They walk into the unknown with strong faith that whatever happens, positive or negative, it leads to important lessons that needed to be learned, and is part of their destiny.

The Heyoka walks a chaotic path, a life full of suffering that holds great meaning and wisdom. They emerge from the “void” with spiritual clarity, knowledge, and wisdom that is harnessed to help others.

Heyoka’s are unpredictable, unconventional, and don’t follow society’s expectations, or follow the masses. They ruffle feathers to upset the status quo in order to advance evolution to a higher purpose. They use bizarre and shocking tactics to jolt people out of a restricted mindset while using creative ways to wake people up.
